A Foundation of Educational Excellence

Dr. Pooja Khator completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Miami where she received the Henry King Stanford Scholarship. She went on to receive her medical degree at the University of Miami School of Medicine where she served as President and Editor-In-Chief of the medical school newspaper, Fovea. After completing her internship in preliminary medicine at the University of Florida, Dr. Khator continued her training

at Maryland General Hospital in Baltimore where she served as Chief Resident of Ophthalmology and was the resident leader of the Hospital Ethics Committee.

Dr. Khator received subspecialty training in glaucoma management and surgery at the renowned Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami, which has consistently been ranked the Best Eye Hospital nationally by U.S. News and World Report. Dr. Khator joined Coastal Eye Institute in 2006.
